Design CollectionⅡ “Peace Posters with a spotlight on HIROSHIMA APPEALS”

June 25 - September 15, 2020

From our poster collection, we are putting Peace Posters from both Japan and abroad on display, with a spotlight on HIROSHIMA APPEALS. HIROSHIMA APPEALS is organized colloboratively by the Japan Graphic Designers Association [JAGDA] Hiroshima Chapter, Hiroshima International Center, and Hiroshima Peace Creation Fund since 1983 [temporarily stopped in between] and they choose 1 designer each year to create a poster appealing for world peace. In this exhibit, we are putting all HIROSHIMA APPEALS posters created until the year 2019 on display. You will get to see various posters from the likes of Kazumasa Nagai and Taku Satoh, who have also made posters for this art gallery for a long time as well as Mitsuo Katsui, Shin Matsunaga, and Katsumi Asaba who were judges for International Poster Triennial in Toyama.
