International KOGEI Award in TOYAMA 2020

The "International KOGEI Award in TOYAMA 2020" presents the latest trends in industrial arts around the world, and aims to show a vision for the future of crafts. The open-call international exhibition seeks works from young artist, craftsmen, and designers fifty and under who are currently active in their field.

Here, visitors can see wonderfully expressive pieces employing a wide range of techniques and materials that have been cultivated by the industrial art world both in Japan and around the globe. A total of 709 candidate works from 62 countries and regions were submitted for screening for this exhibition. In addition to accepted and award-winning works, we will also display special invitational works by the judges, for an exhibition consisting of about 120 pieces in all. We will bring you industrial arts from Toyama, Japan, and the world, all from right here in Toyama.

  • If used on the same day of admission, visitors can also use their entry tickets for this exhibition to attend the Collection Exhibition.
    Visitors can gain admission to this exhibition by showing their entry ticket for the "Gentle Japanese Painting - 5 Tips to Find "WHY" -", which will be held at the same time.
  • For groups of 20 people or more, admission fees in [* ] are applied.
  • Free admission both to collection exhibitions and special exhibitions for the following visitors.
    1. Children, students [elementary, junior high or high school students, etc.]
    2. Persons escorting children/students for school activities or social activities. [Submission of admission free application is necessary.]
    3. Disabled people with a physical disability certificate.
