The Collection of Shuzo TakiguchiⅠ

April 20 - July 17, 2023

This exhibition mainly features photographs of Takiguchi himself and his rooms. Notably, the photographer Kiyoji Otsuji(1923-2001) was inspired by Takiguchi’s photography theory in his youth and decided to become a photographer. He knew the architect of Takiguchi’s newly built house in Nishiochiai,Tokyo and visited there many times. After hearing that the house was being sold to someone, he at least wanted to take photographs. The room photographs were taken after he asked Takiguchi’s wife, Ayako. To celebrate the 120th anniversary of Takiguchi ’s birth, we introduce the dream room that many writers and friends visited and Takiguchi during his lifetime.
