TAD Collection II features artworks from the museum’s collection across five sections: four thematic collections—“Cubism and Its Influence,” “World of Pencil Drawings,” “Molding,” and “Stripes”—alongside the special exhibit “Christo & Jeanne-Claude.”
The displays for each theme are outlined below.

【Cubism and Its Influence】
Focusing on Cubism, one of the most significant artistic movements of the early 20th century, this section features works in which artists sought to capture time and multiple perspectives within a single image, moving beyond the traditional reliance on linear perspective.

【World of Pencil Drawings】
This section features a variety of figurative and abstract works created in pencil, a familiar medium capable of producing highly artistic expression through variations in tone, with lines ranging from delicate to bold.

【Molding】
Three-dimensional art has diversified over time, from modeling, in which forms are created by adding material, and carving, in which forms are carved from material, to mixed media, which combines multiple materials and techniques to create a single form. This section features works that employ “molding,” a technique in which a mold is taken directly from an original object to replicate its form.

【Stripes】
Although stripes are used today in countless contexts, they were long regarded in the West as a pattern associated with the devil. This section features works that employ stripes, a motif that has since become both an important and familiar form of expression for artists and designers.

【Special Exhibit: Christo & Jeanne-Claude】
Breaking free from conventional artistic frameworks, Christo developed a distinctive style centered on “wrapping.” Together with his wife, Jeanne-Claude, he worked as Christo & Jeanne-Claude, carrying out monumental projects without outside assistance, including wrapping enormous structures and bridges in fabric and spreading fabric across natural landscapes. Through works and posters by Christo & Jeanne-Claude, together with related materials, this exhibit traces the duo’s artistic journey.
