"Dress" posters

In this term's Design Collection, in conjunction with the special exhibition "TSUGU minä perhonen" (October 10th - December 22, 2026), we will present posters themed on "Dress".
Akira Minagawa founded minä perhonen, the predecessor of minä, in 1995. From posters of the same period, from the 1990s through the 2010s, we will exhibit works related to what people wear.
It is often said that fashion changes in cycles, and the culture of those days is attracting renewed attention today. Please enjoy the character of the era, and the changes it reveals, as seen through the posters.

【session – TAD Collection + minä perhonen】
Period: October 9th (Fri) - December 28th (Tue)
In conjunction with the special exhibition "TSUGU minä perhonen", a collaborative exhibition between the museum's collection and minä perhonen will be held within Design Collection III.
In the traveling exhibition "TSUGU minä perhonen" that tours a number of locations, minä perhonen meets, at each venue, what that place has held dear, and the endeavor of resonating with one another through new perspectives has been named「session」and is being carried out.
One of the 「session」 events in Toyama is a collaboration with the museum's Design Collection, and to mark the exhibition, a corner has been created within the Design Collection display featuring a chair collection chosen by Akira Minagawa, the designer behind minä perhonen, and a poster collection chosen by Keiko Tanaka.
Please enjoy this exhibition, in which the collection woven and handed down through the museum's activities meets the perspective of minä perhonen, together with messages from both of them.
